BICYCLE RIDING ETIQUETTE

1  Carry personal identification with you.

2  Learn and use the appropriate hand signals for turning and stopping.

3  Obey all traffic signs, signals and regulations.

4  Call out road hazards and movements to other riders near you.

5  Make eye contact with drivers and pedestrians whose path you will cross.  

6  Pedestrians and horses always have the right of way.

Allow a wide berth when passing other riders.

Wear bright clothing when riding during the day to maximize safety.

Wear reflective clothing when riding at night.
