Jack Britton, 2010 Rose parade ride
Al from Cyclery USA sent this to me:
Richard Britton had a major stroke about a month ago and passed away on January 19th, 2012 I believe he was in his 80′s and still riding and just purchased Trek Madone 5.2 a month ago. If anyone interested I’m trying to sell this 56cm. Madone at shop for his daughter. Retail $3100 she wants $2500. Has 270 miles on it.
According to his daughters he was a Riverside Bicycle Club member. I know this, he was a Great customer and a **** of a nice person for us ! Steve Abrego knew him the best, but we all knew him pretty well. He will be missed here at the store.

VIEWING AND MEMORIAL SERVICE AT CRESTLAWN MORTUARY
Viewing: Thursday January 26th, 2012, Between 5-8pm.
Bikers, if you are able to attend the viewing Thursday night, plan to arrive at 6:30 pm, wearing your club jersey. It will be nice to share our memories of Jack with his family at this time.

The Redlands Water Bottle Transit Company is hosting a Velodrome certification class on January 28th, a Saturday at 3:30 pm.
There may not be another opportunity this year to get certified so put this on your calendar.

In 2012 RBC will be hosting a Time Trial Series.
This will consist of 4 time trials throughout the year.
All 4 time trials will be held on Temescal Canyon Road just past Toms Farms.
The Dates for the time trials are as follows:
January 21
April 14
July 14
October 13
Start time: 8:00 am
Start location: Temescal Canyon Rd and Campbell Ranch.
Take 15 fwy south. Exit Temescal Canyon Rd. Continue south on Temescal 1.5 miles to start location.
You can also park at Toms Farms and get a little warmup ride to the start location
Route Details
8.6 Mile Course with 2 small rollers
367 Feet of Elevation Gain
Average time is around 30 min +/-
Start at overpass just past Campbell Ranch
Travel 4.3 miles to next overpass just south of Horse Thief Cyn. (If you get to Hostetler, you went to far)
Turn around and go back to starting point.
Pavement condition is good with the exception of one small area.
Traffic is light and there is plenty of road space throughout the course.
Dates are subject to change depending on other events that might fall on same day
